Description: This virtual course aims to understand the Covid-19 disease process and its impact on occupational engagement, including disease signs and symptoms, treatment options, and therapeutic interventions across the continuum of care. Participants will leave with an understanding of short-term as well as long-term consequences of a Covid-19 diagnosis, and strategies to maximize occupational performance.
Objectives:
- Identify common co-morbidities that impact functional outcomes following Covid-19 diagnosis
- Identify the impact of Covid-19 symptoms on occupational performance
- Identify effective intervention strategies to address functional deficits across the continuum of care
- Examine the role of practitioner self-care during a pandemic
