Our Mission:

ILOTA’s blog In The Now began in 2020 with the mission to provide an interactive web-based platform to foster communication among occupational therapy practitioners and students in Illinois, share information relevant to the occupational therapy profession, promote networking opportunities, and increase exposure of occupational therapy in the larger world.

Message from the Blog Coordinator, Samantha Tupas:
Hello! My name is Samantha Tupas and I am an occupational therapy doctorate student at Midwestern University. I’m super excited support ILOTA’s creation of In The Now, a place to share personal stories, thought provoking ideas and build connections with others who share the mission of helping others to live their best life. We expect In the Now to evolve over time and offer more frequent and up to date contact with the OT community and the larger world. As the “curator” of the blog, I encourage anyone interested in contributing to reach out – the more diverse perspectives the better!
