OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TENURE TRACK FACULTY

St. Ambrose University welcomes qualified candidates to apply for a full time, 12-month tenure track position in the Occupational Therapy Department. Candidates will be joining a well-established department focused on educating ethical, innovative, and sensitive occupational therapists who will serve to support the occupational participation of others. Our department values reflective client-centered practice, professionalism, scholarship and service.

The ideal candidates should have experience working in one of the following areas: psychosocial/mental health services, adult/older adult populations, or community based services. Responsibilities of the positions include teaching in areas of expertise, advising and mentoring doctoral students, serving on department and university committees and implementing a scholarship agenda.
Candidates for this position should have an earned terminal doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, ScD, DHS, post-professional OTD); those enrolled in a terminal degree program will be considered if anticipating completion by July 2018. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Iowa. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, leadership, evidence of scholarly works and clinical specialization will enhance the candidate’s application.

The Department is one of seven health science departments within the College of Health and Human Services. Multiple interprofessional learning events and numerous outreach services enhance the student experience in Occupational Therapy and promote a culture of team work and advocacy for health and wellness in the Quad Cities.
