Join us for a special virtual Town Hall Event of the Pediatrics SIS (over Zoom) where we will:
  • Discuss how occupational therapy practitioners are uniquely qualified to provide trauma informed care in pediatrics. 
  • Listen to YOU and hear your questions, concerns, and/or strategies for incorporating trauma informed care within pediatrics.
  • Share information, resources, and gain a better understanding of what exactly is “trauma informed” care.
Panelists:
  • Co-coordinators of the Pediatrics SIS: Beth Kohler-Rausch and Ashley Hettlinger
  • Special Guest and Trauma Expert: Jessica Weiler. Jessica received her Master’s degree and Occupational Therapy Doctorate education through the University of Illinois at Chicago, and has an additional certification as a Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner. She has experience working with children in community, clinic, and school settings. Jessica has worked with children and families to support regulation, mental health promotion, and trauma informed care. She currently works in Birth to Three in Madison, Wisconsin.
