Cawn Krantz & Assoc. is looking for a full-time, experienced pediatric occupational therapist/department coordinator to be an integral part of our Northbrook, IL private clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work in a dynamic setting with experienced therapists. We are looking for a full-time therapist to work 5 days per week.

Our therapists are the most important members of our team. All of our employees enjoy a work environment that is fun not only for them, but also for the children they treat. We are a DIR Floortime clinic applying a playful therapeutic approach to achieve the greatest progress for our clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Provide evaluations, identifying client’s strengths and weaknesses
  • Develops a treatment plan utilizing goals and objectives; make changes to treatment plans as needed
  • Provides 1:1 therapeutic intervention and group instruction based on the needs of the client Completes new patient intakes and parental interviews for therapy
  • Maintains OT equipment, including safety checks and staff training for usage
  • Occupational therapy department coordinator administrative duties
  • Supervision of occupational therapy staff
  • Develops materials and other information to promote occupational therapy and the benefits that result from intervention
  • Participation in individual and weekly case-based multidisciplinary group mentoring
  • Seeks additional training and information to further skills as an occupational therapist
  • Completes additional assignment of duties as recommended by management
  • Maintains professionalism at all times with families, colleagues and individuals
  • Maintains documentation by providing objective information and on-going suggestions for follow through at home
  • Protects patient privacy and clinic operations by keeping information confidential
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment by complying with rules, regulations and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Experience in pediatrics
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in OT
  • License to practice occupational therapy within the state
  • Positive, teamwork attitude
  • Passion for working with children from infancy through adolescence
  • Autism, sensory processing disorders experience required
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
