Occupational Therapist

Aspire Kids is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for our Hillside location. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with exceptional occupational therapy and multidisciplinary teams in a family-centered model while providing evaluations and ongoing therapy for infants, toddlers, and children with developmental delays and disabilities. Knowledge of typical and atypical development, sensory integration, assessment, and intervention strategies specific to these age groups, as well as the ability to work well with families and team members is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group occupational therapy in the child’s home, community, school, and clinic settings.
  • Conduct evaluations and write comprehensive reports.
  • Develop treatments plans and document progress in child’s electronic medical record.
  • Integrate caregivers and other important stakeholders into all aspects of the provision of services.
  • Provide caregiver education/coaching regarding strategies for follow through across home and community settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic care.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Occupational Therapy Team to implement evidence-based practice into treatment approaches.

Qualifications

  • MS in Occupational Therapy or OTD
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of Illinois
  • Early Intervention credentials highly preferred, but not required
  • Current Registration with NBCOT
