2022 ILOTA Annual Conference

* In-Person, One-Day Conference on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the NIU Naperville Conference Center
* Virtual, On-Demand Programs Throughout October, November, and December

We are excited to announce our plans for the 2022 ILOTA Annual Conference! With the combination of both an in-person, one-day conference and the virtual programming, there were five presentation options. 

Proposals were received in these 17 areas of practice:

Options for IN-PERSON Presentations on Friday, November 18, at the NIU Naperville Conference Center:

A. 1.0-hour Instructional Course
  • Courses should be 60 minutes in length
  • Presenters will prepare an in-person course designed for hands-on learning and interactive learning/discussion

B. 1.5-hour Instructional Course
  • Courses should be 90 minutes in length
  • Presenters will prepare an in-person course designed for hands-on learning and interactive learning/discussion

 

Options for VIRTUAL Presentations:

A. 1.0-hour Pre-Recorded Short Course
  • Courses should be 60 minutes in length
  • Presenters will record course and ILOTA will have it available for the entire months of October, November, and December for attendee viewing

B. 10-minute Pre-Recorded Poster Presentation

  • Poster presentations should include a visual (i.e., poster) and 10-minute recorded presentation
  • Presenters will record poster presentation and ILOTA will have it available for the entire months of October, November, and December for attendee viewing
  • Poster presenters should also be available for a live 1-hour virtual follow-up session sometime in November with their cohort to facilitate a discussion based on topic areas

C. 1.0-hour Conversation that Matters

  • 60-minute facilitated live discussion via Zoom for conference attendees focused on a topic meant to advance the practice/professional development of the participants or the field of occupational therapy.

Agreement:

During the online submission process, participants must read and agree to the following statements:

  • Confirmations will be sent via e-mail by late June 2022 regarding acceptance of submissions. Confirmations not acknowledged by the due date may result in a session being dropped from the final program.
  • Any course materials/handouts must be provided by the speaker.
  • Speakers will have the option to submit handouts and course materials to be posted on the ILOTA website and Learning Management System (LMS) website, which will be available for download by attendees. Instructions will be provided at a later date.
  • Speakers are asked not to sell products during their presentations.
  • Speakers of virtual pre-recorded sessions are responsible for using their own computer to record presentations (recording assistance will be provided by ILOTA).
  • Speakers of in-person courses will have access to a desktop computer with high speed internet, laptop hook-up cables, LCD projector and screen, Elmo document projector, white board, flip chart, wireless mouse, CD/DVD player. Speakers must bring their presentation on a laptop or portable drive, or be able to access their presentation through the internet.
  • All speakers, attendees, and exhibitors will be required to comply with the following new ILOTA Health and Safety Policy in order to be able to attend the IN-PERSON portion of the 2022 ILOTA Annual Conference: "For all in-person events that are hosted by ILOTA, proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of admission to the event is required. No refunds will be provided to those who fail to comply with these requirements and are prohibited to participate. Health and safety requirements may be subject to change based on applicable laws and state executive orders at the time of the event."

NOTE: We recommend that you prepare your submission content (title, description, abstract, speakers, etc.) in advance in MS Word to copy-and-paste into the fields. You will not be able to save your submission along the way, and must complete the form once you begin. If you are submitting more than one proposal, you can return to this webpage at a later time to submit an additional proposal.
